Find the Right Therapist in Santa Fe NM

It can be hard to find a good therapist. I’ve personally worked with some really good therapists. And a couple of pretty bad ones. I’ve also worked with life, productivity and business coaches; some good and some not-so-good ones.

Here’s a little list of what I’ve learned about how to find a counselor. Because I want you to be able to have the long-term success I’ve experienced as a result of working the right person. My whole career is built on the foundation of helping you get what you need, and that begins with finding the right person.

You need someone who can help you feel a little bit comfortable right away, even in a free 15-minute consultation call.

You also want to find someone who’s got specialized training in the issues you need help with. It’s OK to ask anything you’re curious about.

How to Search for a Therapist in Santa Fe NM

There are a few ways you can search for a good therapist near you.

Do you know someone who’s worked with a counselor, and is happy about it? That can be one of the best, and easiest ways to find someone.

You can check with your PCP/family medical person; sometimes they can give you a referral name.

Another idea is to do a search on one of the many therapist online directories, like www.psychologytoday.com, or www.goodtherapy.com. If you need a counselor who takes your insurance, you can type that into the advanced search or filters section, which makes it much easier.
