struggle alone any more
Is Your Painful Past Still Holding You Hostage?
You’ve worked hard to have a good career. But you’re taking too much home. You’re burned out. You never ask for what you want, ever, because you’re so afraid of rejection.
Life feels hard and it’s all getting to be too much. You dealt with enough trauma as a kid, but you thought you’d left all that behind. And yet the feelings of unhappiness and negativity won’t leave you alone.
You’ve gotten used to feeling like you don’t belong anywhere, without having true friends or colleagues or family who support you.
In quiet moments, you’re full of shame. You’re feeling vulnerable and uncertain about the future and can’t see a way forward.
You can’t shake the feeling of impending doom. And you’re in a constant state of anxiety. You’re exhausted all the time. You don’t know where to turn to feel safe.
You’ve done therapy in the past, but you’re struggling now. You don’t know what you want, or what makes you happy.
You hate feeling like you’re out of control but you also doubt any decision you make. You feel worthless and always take the blame when things go wrong.
You’ve given up on your dreams. It’s safer this way. But to keep existing like this feels unbearable and you just wish you could trust other people, feel safe and feel happy. Nothing satisfies – no matter how busy you stay at work or how much you try and numb out when you’re alone.
You don’t want to be needy. But how do you keep going on, feeling this way?
I Can Help You Break Free of The Past
I’m Melanie, and I’m a therapist who specializes in helping people who feel lost and alone to re-connect with themselves and their dreams and discover what brings them joy and happiness.
I help my clients understand what it feels like to be safe and heard and held with respect and compassion, and how to bring light back into their lives.
I suffered from childhood trauma for many years. And made a ton of very bad choices before I learned how to feel safe, trust myself, and begin manifesting audacious dreams and achieving big fat goals.
How I Work With My Clients
In balancing the science of therapy with the art of healing, I’ll create an individualized program that sets you on a path of success from the very first session.
Through counseling, my clients re-connect with who they are underneath the pain, what they want and need to be happy, and they start taking action to get where they wanna go.
My innovative approach weaves together my ability to hear below the surface of the words with all my advanced degrees and years of specialized trainings and professional experience.
When we work together, you’ll develop solid evidence-based skills to feel confident and in control, no matter what’s going on.
You’ll learn strategies to help manage the darkness of your anxiety and depression, including CBT/DBT and mindfulness, and we’ll use neuroscience techniques to help you feel balanced.
And it won’t all be horrible and terrible, I promise! I love a good book, binging on the occasional tv series, not to mention a good laugh once in a while. No doubt, we’ll laugh together and share our favs at some point in our work together.
Please know that I welcome ongoing conversations about making therapy the best experience it can be for you. ‘Cause that’s why I’m here.

“I needed to see a real pro. I had a LOT of problems!
When I first started working with Melanie, I had just ended a long-time corporate career, and was ready to explore a new one that was more fulfilling. And my family situation was very complex and painful.
I was struggling with a lot of anxiety, I couldn’t relax. And I had a lot of fears, about almost everything.
Since we began working together, I feel much more peaceful and confident about being successful in a new career. I’ve learned so many strategies for dealing with my feelings! I don’t feel hijacked by them any more. And my family situation is completely different — it’s so much better. I have a whole new relationship with them.
Melanie’s gentle, wise guidance allowed me to process deeply painful issues from my childhood that I’ve never understood before.
It’s changed my life, all for the good!”
“I started working with Melanie because I was struggling with grief and anxiety, in part because of wounds brought up by the #MeToo movement.
I was also dealing with a sense of deep frustration with my work. I needed a woman’s perspective and shared experience as a different approach to healing.
I can’t thank Melanie enough for our work together. Her insight and support have been invaluable to me in my journey.
I’m moving forward, into the next chapter of my life, feeling excited and eager at what’s opened up for me as a result of working with Melanie.
Thanks for being a creative inspiration and for being a great model for me!”
“I was scared when I first started working with Melanie. I’d never worked with a therapist or coach before. But a friend recommended her, and I’m so grateful that I called her.
I was a mess when we began! Depressed, anxious, and scared of losing a new relationship because of some health issues. Melanie helped me understand how my own thinking and behavior patterns had been making everything more difficult, and she taught me how to flip my own narrative, and change my point of view. She helped me understand my childhood and family in ways that have made a huge, positive difference for me.
For the first time in my life, I now understand that I can ask for what I want and need — I never knew that before. It’s changed everything! My relationship is great, and I have tools I can use anytime to help myself shift into a healthier, more positive, less anxious and stressed mindset. I’m not as scared as I used to be, and when I feel the fear, I know how to manage it.“
